Madison Bikes Winter Bike Week 2018 Kickoff Commuter Station

Join Madison Bikes for free coffee, treats, and Winter Bike Week 2018 cheer! We'll be on the Cap City Path near Machinery Row from 7-9 am.

Monday Night MEAThead ride

This ride starts every Monday at 7:00p, November through March regardless of the weather. We meet in front of Ford's Gym and do a no-drop Lake Monona loop, followed by an optional loop through the Arboretum around Lake Wingra.
If you plan on riding please arrive on time because it gets cold waiting for people. We generally follow the five minute rule and take off at 7:05 sharp.

The name is unusual so allow us to explain. It’s called MEAThead because it meets in front of Ford’s Gym, but it’s also a bit of self-deprecating humor in being "dumb" for riding in crazy weather conditions. No one should feel excluded from participating. The ride is friendly, welcoming, and open to anyone that shows up prepared to ride.

Tuesday, 2/6

Free small coffee for cyclists at EVP Coffee!

ALL DAY at two of the EVP locations: 1250 E. Washington Ave. and 700 University Bay Dr. (corner of U. Bay & Marshall Ct.)

Then we will take the Capitol Trail towards the south, again briefly stopping by Olin Park to let folks coming from the southside join us and aim to make a Night Bike experience through the new bridge at the Lower Yahara River Trail.

We will stop to share something warm and come back the same way.

This is a no drop slow roll, we average 10mph and no one is left behind.
Experience level needed: Beginner.
